Mondioring 2018 in Russia - Unforgettable impressions"This Mondioring World Championship 2018 has been incredible. The organization was on top and we were very well received" - expresses his feelings Fabrice Basnier, one of the participants, and the 4th place-winner of Mondioring 2018 in Russia. ForDogTrainers company, famous for its top-class durable dog training equipment, sponsored gladly the event. Claus Angerer, the 2018 World Champion, states: "There was a beautiful ceremony and as always, the week was much too fast". In the 1980s, representatives of training schools from Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, in an effort to compete with each other and to exchange experiences, decided to create a discipline that combines elements of national European schools, conducted and evaluated according to the same rules. As a result, a cynological sport called Mondioring appeared, which is popular in major European countries. In Russia, the discipline is successfully developing, attracting attention of both pet owners and fans of spectacular sports with a dog. The most popular sport in Europe, USA, Canada, Mondioring is also developed in Mexico, in the Philippines. Participants consistently perform an exercise program without interrupting to rest. Therefore, preparation for competitions and demonstration of skills - it is a long, time-consuming work. Depending on the level of difficulty (there are three of them), the participant and the dog perform the exercises for 20-45 minutes. At competitions dogs demonstrate dexterity, obedience, protective qualities. Complicated exercises consisting of numerous elements are combined with each other, forming a program of performance. Exercises are aimed at identifying animal skills, innate qualities, and ability to train. This spectacular sports event took place on 3 to 7 October 2018 at Grand-Arena of MAXIMA STABLES in Moscow region, Russia. The official site www.mondio2018.ru assured participants that "The territory of the club is organized so comfortable that from almost any point, you can quickly get to a competition area, shopping area, hotel or guest house: all facilities are situated on the one and the same territory to make the participation in the event more suitable and comfortable as for handlers and dogs as for spectators and guests." All the five days were very well planned, the schedule was also available on the official website. It is the best to know about the level of the event from the very participants. Fabrice Basnier kindly shared with us his experience: "The infrastructure was perfect for this kind of event. At the level of the courses proposed by the judges and decoys, I find that there was a real respect of the levels in view of the difficulties proposed. Which is rare enough to be emphasized (often step 2 is more than the 3 ...) The courses were very technical and, in my opinion, more to highlight the qualities of training than those of dogs intrinsically speaking. The decoys were very good and respectful of dogs and regulations. Congratulation to them for their work." What countries were the judges from? Italy, France, Switzerland, Russia, Finland, Spain. As to decoys, they were from Russia, Belgium, France and Portugal. Participants, though, arrived from different parts of the world: Sweden, Israel, Spain, USA, Russia, Switzerland, Romania, Portugal, Greece, Austria, France, Italy, Belgium.. No wonder one of the participants, Madalin Dragan, shares: "In the end I have to say it was an wonderful experience. I’ve had the pleasure to meet again great people from mondioring world, made new friendships and watched a very good competition in all 3 levels with very nice and inventive programmes made by judges and an awesome job of all 4 decoys. The place was beautiful, the organization was great and I want to congratulate all the people involved in organizing this event." Participants - Category 3
